Make connecting flights
Make sure that your travel agent has made a booking for you in such
a way that you have enough time between connecting flights. 2 hours
at least or more, if you have babies or older people with you.
When you make flight reservations, you will get all your connecting
flight information. This information will have the flight numbers and
the terminal from which they will leave. It will also have the departure
time.
Do your homework and find a map of the airport in which you will be arriving in. Most airport gates are laid out in tree-branch fashion and are labeled alphabetically.
Ticket information doesn't tell you which gate you will arrive in but once you get your bearings straight and know where you are starting from then the destination will be found by following signs and your map.
Circle the destination gate on your map so you know where to go.
To get a map of the terminal either go to the airport website or google
"map ______ airport" and you be instantly provided with a
printable map.
As soon as your landing flight arrives, look at your watch and determine how much layover time remains. Go straight to the connecting flight terminal and double-check when your connecting flight departs, once you are in gate area you need to be in, relax, get something to eat if you are hungry.
Read a magazine and wait for your next departure. Keep an eye on time so you don't miss the boarding call.
